Growing up, her mother was a member of the church and her father was not. She said her father had been going to church for about 30 years but never joined. Her baby blessing also mentioned she would be the one to help her father join the church.
After getting the details on procedures from President Zarbock, I talked to the Sister Missionaries who would need to teach him one lesson, followed by the Zone Leaders who would need to interview him. He would be a member of the Barrigada Guam ward for one week and then his records would be transferred back to his ward near their home.
He was baptized on Saturday, and then was confirmed a member and received the gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday.
Elder Matalolo said his personal testimony was greatly strengthened during the interview.
Each time we talked about him being baptized I felt the peace of the spirit. The spirit testifies of truth. It is amazing. Every day, every week and every month, more miracles continue to occur. I know Jesus Christ lives and has organized and restored His church on the earth today, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints". Many times, I have felt the peaceful, wonderful feeling of the Holy Ghost, testify to my heart and soul of the truth of these events.
